Bing is quickly gaining in popularity with more and more searchers turning to Bing wither their search query needs. Research is showing that Bing provides its users with relevant and accurate results, an issue of great importance for any search engine. Whilst Google is still undoubtedly the most popular search engine in the world with a big majority of the market share, Bing is looking to tempt Google users away from the search engine by offering them accurate and relevant search results and some extra features too in order to make their search experience a little easier, quicker and productive.
One feature of the Bing search engine which Google does not currently have is that when a search result is hovered over with a cursor, a small box of text appears offering the searcher more information from the website they are considering. This can be incredibly useful and help save time for the user.
Often, search engine users can be become annoyed and frustrated when time is spent clicking on SERPs that do not actually offer them what they are looking for. This small amount of information about the website that is visible when a result is under consideration by the searcher can help reduce inappropriate websites being visited. This text can also be advantageous in terms of malware. If Bing believes the website contains malware, the searcher will be informed of this in the text box and therefore this malware can be successfully avoided.
Another handy feature that Bing has added that Google does not currently offer on its search engine web page is search history. A small section on the side of the results page features previous searches that have been carried out by the user and therefore it is quick and easy to search for these things again. This can be useful as often searchers will search for the same things more than once and may even have forgotten what they searched for in order to find certain results that they would like to view again. This feature again saves time for the user and provides them with a more personalised search service which is important.
The extra features that Bing has added to its search engine demonstrate its aim to provide users with a pleasing and well-rounded search experience. It is not only about the providing of accurate and relevant results but also allowing searchers to search quickly and easily and have more of an idea about a website they are visiting before they actually click on the link and visit it. Bing is striving to provide its searchers with a high level of customer satisfaction.
