There are two types of search engine optimisation campaigns that you could apply on your website. The one is known as organic or natural search engine optimisation and the other inorganic SEO. Both have its own advantages and disadvantages. However, whether organic or inorganic, they produce the same results which are an increase in traffic and improvement thereof as well as visibility of a site.
When you speak about organic search engine optimisation you often refer to the natural way of allowing search engine optimisation to draw in traffic. Inorganic search engine optimisation usually involves placing links of your website on other sites. This means you pay for advertisement space on these sites. This type of inorganic search engine optimisation is known as sponsored links.
Keeping it organic
Organic search engine optimisation is a good way to apply an SEO campaign. This is because when internet users use the web, they are more inclined to click on sites that are naturally ranked on search engines.
These websites are much more trusted for viewing information and especially making transactions. When making payments online, these users often feel that their transaction is more secure on sites naturally listed. However, there is no evidence to prove that websites that use inorganic SEO such as sponsored links are less trustworthy and reliable.
For those wanting to apply a natural form of SEO, this is good news. Being seen as a trustworthy website is important and a good reason to use organic search engine optimisation.
It is also cheaper to rely on natural SEO. As you will see, with organic SEO you do not pay for ad space or anything like that. You only pay for the application of SEO. Often SEO can be free which means you do not pay a dime.
Making the choice to use sponsored links
Relying on sponsored links can also be to ones advantage. Search engine optimisation applied in this way may cost you for ad space but the benefits is that an inorganic SEO campaign using sponsored links gets results much quicker. It takes less time for you to achieve high ranking and see traffic come in.
Sponsored links may be a faster but there are some disadvantages. Sponsored links are not free. You obviously have to pay for ad space in order for your link to appear. It will give you great exposure and the spot that you get could mean you receive an excellent amount of traffic. If you however cannot afford the space anymore, you loose your space and it is possible that one of your competitors will get your great spot.
