It is not enough to just create a website, your website has to be built in a way that it becomes a magnet to visitors, without visitors your Search Engine Optimisation campaign will never get off the ground,  your website will fade into obscurity and you wont get any business.

There are a host of highly visible techniques you can use to attract traffic such as banner adverts, pop ups, online promotions, newsletters and so forth, yet most of your traffic will arrive as a result of searches conducted online via search engines.  Search engines are a cheap way to find information and the most effective way as they provide users with instant results for an investment of only a few key strokes.

Search engines have the ability to deliver pre-qualified traffic right your door, but you need to do provide them with a lot of help in order to get your site highly ranked in their index.  If you aren’t ranked highly, you stand to lose out on a lot of potential business.  Your site needs to become a magnet for visitors, but also a magnet for search engine robots who are the ones ultimately responsible for getting your site ranked which is what will deliver high volumes of traffic to your site.

Magnetising Content

Magnetising content is not a form of alchemy, as the owner of your website it is your responsibility and yours alone.  Search engines don’t write content nor do they return their opinions on your content but they will ignore or turn away if it is not to their standard or it doesn’t supply them with what they are looking for.  You need to decide what it is you include in your content that will keep drawing visitors to your site.  Your content needs to be fresh and relevant, interesting and pertinent.  Your WebPages need to contain links to your other WebPages.

Remember that visitors are on your site because they are interested in your product or service that is the first step in magnetising.

Magnetised content is not only about what is contained in the content on your web pages it is also about what you send out in the form of newsletters, e-books and any other marketing material you need to draw them to your site, keeping them there, getting them to come back again and to stay away from your competitor’s websites.

You need to be imaginative and use what knowledge you possess to help decide what to include in your content.  Magnetising your content is an essential part of SEO, it is not deceptive, is looked at by search engines as being white hat and search engine robots need it.

All this happens because you have spent time researching keywords or keyword phrases to include in your content.  You can sit back every now and again and watch your website climbing up the ladder, watch your ROI improve and watch your bottom line improve, all because you decided to magnetise your site.
