Often website owners want to pull their hair out in frustration. They have a well-designed website, the best relevant keywords and they made sure their META tags are spot on. Their websites are ranking strong for organic optimisation results. They are attracting site visitors.

There is just one problem; the site visitors are not converting to paying customers. So what is wrong; why does all the effort put in not showing results? People are so focussed on putting all optimisation efforts into pleasing the engines, they forgot who and what is most important. Your human site visitors are the most important as they are your potential customers, not the search engine spiders.

Keywords drive traffic

Your keywords do not sell your products. Keywords are what will bring potential customers to your website. Thus your keywords are critically important yes, but those very important keywords will be not only strategically placed on your web pages in title tags etc. Those keywords will be within your website content. If they are not used correctly, they will cost you dearly.

If your content is filled with industry jargon, is badly written and confuse site visitors, they will leave speedily. You have roughly 8 seconds from the time the visitors land on your site to impress them into staying. That is a very small window of opportunity that must be boosted with content that is powerful enough to grab the reader’s attention.

Your web content must speak to your customers directly and in a way that they fully understand. Human beings do not want to come to your website and be presented with garbage. By putting your great keywords into poorly written and uninformative content is useless. What you are doing is promising with your keywords and not delivering through your mediocre content.

Content makes sales

To generate a high level of organic optimisation, you must look at your website content through the eyes of your site visitors. Try to see what they will see when they visit your website for the first time. Is your web content full of industry jargon that makes it difficult to read or it concise and clear?

Does it sound like you are talking directly to your site visitors, human to human or do you assume that your readers have to know certain facts? Your web content must address the specific needs of your visitors. Your content must convince your site traffic that you are a cut above your competition. It must also tell them that you have exactly what they need and that you offer it to them better than anyone else.

Get expert help

If your website content does not stand up to the test, it is time to call in the professionals to get your great keywords to mesh perfectly with the best content possible. You need to call in the services of an SEO copywriter to supply you well written and informative copy. Powerful web content is one of your greatest weapons in your optimisation arsenal. That is how your keywords drive traffic and your content converts that traffic into paying customers.
