There is no denying that on page changes to the homepage of a website can have very significant results in terms of SEO internet marketing. By ensuring the homepage features plenty of relevant keywords and by arranging your title and tags appropriately, you can increase how search engine friendly your website is and therefore increase the chance of your website receiving more visitors. There is also no denying that off page search engine optimisation techniques can also be incredibly useful and have great results for companies trying to increase the amount of traffic to their sites. However, we must not forget the importance of the other web pages in a website. Optimising all the web pages within a website correctly can also increase your chance of success and is something that should be considered.

The optimisation of all of your web pages is important as the more pages that can be easily found by the search engines, the more likely the website will be ranked highly when relevant keywords are searched for. The home page is important, but the inner pages of the website are important too.

There are a few ways that you can optimise the pages of your website for this purpose.

It is recommended that the main web pages that make up a website are accessible from the homepage. The simplest way to do this is to feature a menu on the homepage that enables the user to access the different pages by clicking on a certain option and link presented by the menu. Each of the links from the menu should feature your most relevant keywords in the anchor text in order to get the most from these links. Another technique is to also increase the number of links within your website by having the menu on every main page, meaning other pages can be accessed easily and quickly by visitors and by search engines too. The more links you have can greatly increase the chance of being ranked higher in the search results of the main search engines.

An alternative to having a menu on every page is to have a link tree instead. Link trees are often featured in the lower half of a web page and again offer the opportunity for a visitor to explore the different web pages a website has to offer. Again, make sure that these links feature your relevant keywords.

Search engine optimisation is a long and complicated process that can feature a number of different and varied techniques. Links are undoubtedly an important part of this process but it is not just those from other websites to yours that can have significant results. Links from pages within your website can also help your website be noticed and ranked highly by the search engines. We at SEO Consult can help you identify and apply the right search engine optimisation methods for your business to ensure a successful search engine optimisation campaign. On page and off page search engine optimisation techniques are necessary to increase the traffic to your website and the success of your business.
