Black hat SEO over white hat SEO which way to go

There have been rapid developments in terms of the endeavours of various business entities to be ranked the top on the first page of any website. This is what is called black hat SEO. It is defined technically as the techniques which are used to get a higher ranking in a very unethical manner.

It however, has to be mentioned that this only became unethical very recently as some of the methods were recognized as legitimate. Some of the methods which are used include the use of invisible text. This is when the designer of the site would have some key words typed in white against a white background.

This would not be picked by the human beings but the machines would do so and this was seen as a way of increasing the ranking. Another method which has been used was when the designer would also use doorway pages. These are links to non existent pages. This is designed at tricking the machine into thinking that this is a site with a number of pages.

White hat SEO for long lasting sweetness

The black hat SEO techniques mentioned above bring with them very short lived sweetness. It is true that after employing some of these techniques, the site would achieve a very higher ranking though this may not last. It is also worth mentioning that the search engines such as Google would penalize such sites, which means that it would bring down the online business of the firm.

On the other hand, white hat SEO is the use of ethical methods which are encouraged or allowed by some of the search engines. Under this banner, designers play nice guys and try by all means to follow the search engines guidelines as they would have been given.
