Earlier this year, Google added some new search options to its service. Google has been happy with the way these options have been received and utilised by searchers using the search engine and so have now added a few new exciting features that have once again been designed to give the user more control over their online search and also quick and easy access to the relevant results for their query.

If a user is logged into Google when they carry out a search, they will now be able to use a new feature that allows them to view the websites that they have previously visited when they have carried out a search using similar and relevant keywords. This new option can save searchers a lot of time and effort and enables them to visit websites that they have previously found useful easily and quickly. Often, when a search has been carried out and a helpful website located, the name of the website can be forgotten. This new feature can provide websites visited for the search term entered so it can be visited again quickly.

It is also possible to use this feature to filter out previously visited websites. If you are carrying out a continuing search and have already visited many of the sites suggested by the Google for a certain search term, by using this option and filtering out all websites you have visited you will only be presented with fresh and new results to explore and this can again save you time and effort and be really useful as part of your search.

Another new option provided by Google gives users of the search engine the choice of whether they would like to see more or less shopping websites listed in their search results. It is possible to increase or decrease the number of websites like this that are displayed by simply clicking the appropriate option. Again, this is a feature Google has added so the search experience is more personal and the searcher has more control.

It is also now possible to have search results displayed from specific periods of time with another new feature. Results can now be filtered using the time period chosen. Options include results from the previous hour, previous 24 hours, previous week, month, year or specific time period chosen by the user. Again, this filtering option can enable users to find what they are looking for more quickly and easily and gives them more control.

These are just a few of the new options that Google has added recently and whilst non of the new features added are massive changes to the service Google provides, they all contribute to a more personalised Google service with the user having increased control and influence over the results they receive.
