Being new, you will have to build up your own client base and hope that people view you as being trustworthy. This is not always easy; many people are more inclined to relying on already established SEO companies. You may have to offer some discounts and special deals just to get some clientele. It may be costly to you, but as soon as your business becomes better known, you will reap the rewards.

Whether you provide a private SEO service or work for a company that specializes in search engine optimization your clients will either be private individuals or businesses. The bulk of your service will be provided to business but there are private people with websites who also wish to have it optimized.
When these clients approach an SEO service provider, their only wish is to be ranked as number one. You will not be able to guarantee this but will at least have to ensure that you optimize their website in the best way you know how.
What service will you have to offer?
As a person wishing to provide an SEO service, there are a few things you will have to offer your clients. As a private individual, you can choose whether you apply a natural SEO campaign or an inorganic one. Working for an SEO company means you must apply what they want you to.
You will have to review clients existing websites and determine where changes need to be made. Decide how the HTML source code needs to be altered and where the content of the site needs to be edited. If a client does not have a website, you may have to create the site from scratch and optimize it as you go along.
The last resort
If all fails and you are unable to make it as an SEO consultant, you could turn to writing articles on the topic. Use your SEO knowledge in a different way and get paid for doing so.
