People everywhere were jumping on the bandwagon and looking for ways to get rich quick. Some made it and others were not so lucky but such is the result when one gambles.
It did have a place at one time
Keyword density had a place in SEO once upon a time but as technologies change and develop so to do the methods employed in SEO. At a time when spam was rife and there were not many ways to combat it, keyword stuffing was one of the methods employed to combat spam.
Other methods have since been developed and rendered this particular method redundant. There were the chance takers however who still attempted to use this method to push the results of their website rankings but the search engines have since not longer opted to use this method and it is frowned upon if it is used today.
Quality content is what counts
While simply stuffing a website with specific keywords to generate better page rankings was the order of the day for users of stuffing, the bigger search engines have opted rather for themed and intended content to rank the pages; this causes a problem for black hatters who use loophole tactics for their SEO.
It has been proven time and time again that spending a little extra time and doing things correctly the long term benefits speak for themselves. Using deceptive methods to beat the system so to speak is rewarded with penalties or worse, the website is removed altogether.
Spending the time to add quality content to a website has always proved to be the best method and companies that employ this type of SEO are reaping the benefits of good business practice.
Knowing what to look our for
Part of the reason some businesses fail is purely due to ignorance. A business learns that in order to have a successful website on the internet it has got to have a great ranking and then they go out and employ a company to conduct SEO for them. What businesses fail to do is to check the processes and methods that these companies use to gain their rankings.
Lack of knowledge has lead to great disasters and the loss of what could have been really great companies offering truly great products and services. Be learning the different methods employed a business guarantees not only its safety but also longevity.
