SEO tactics have been gaining on web users and websites for years now and finally people are cottoning on to the benefits and absolute necessity of yielding to SEO. Search engine optimization is something that will offer you a fair chance of good visibility. It is also constantly changing its face and continually evolving. SEO is also becoming more and more important as the cyber universe that is the internet has grown to astronomical proportions.

Simply put, you cannot survive in the dog eat dog competition among websites on the internet unless you employ every SEO strategy that will work for you. One of these strategies is to write SEO copy for your website that contains keywords and key phrases. A quandary many people face is where to place this copy on their web page.

Myths, misconceptions and plain wrong thinking

As with many other things in the world today, SEO comes with its own set of myths, urban legends and plain old misconceptions. Where to put your SEO copy on your website’s page is no exception. Some people may think that the higher the placement on your web page, the higher the priority placed on the copy by spiders and engines. You may also be forgiven for assuming that your information needs to be in a solid block. Some people believe that a headline is not a headline unless it is at the very top of the page. You may hear through the grape vine that placing your copy into tables makes life difficult for the spiders and engines. And someone may even tell you that the spiders and crawlers cannot find your copy unless you position it above the fold. These are all cyberspace SEO urban legends and myths that need to find themselves a tightly shut coffin far away from anyone or anything.

Clearing up assumptions and broken information

SEO is very varied and can be quite complex, true, but it is not impossible and it may even be far easier than you think. Web crawlers and spiders and just about any programme or technology on the internet can find anything anywhere. This means that it does not matter if your copy is at the very top of the page or at the very bottom. They will still find it. It also does not matter if you break your copy up and insert bits of it everywhere. They will find it and know what it means. If you put it into tables nothing will happen because yet again, they will find your SEO copy. All that should really matter is that your copy is attractive to them and not where it is placed on your web page.

Placement values

Placement and the order of your SEO copy should not be aimed at the spiders, crawlers and engines. It should rather be placed so that it pleases your readers and your web traffic. They should find benefit in the placing and in the copy itself. At the end of the day you can have the highest rated website because the crawlers and engines love your copy. That will all mean nothing if you cannot attract human traffic as well.
